Public sector: these are words which strike fear (or worse) into the hearts of even the most open-minded people. But is this reputation really warranted?
 
It is easy to look at the public sector as a whole and see it as a monolithic beast burdened by inefficiences, bureaucracy and red tape, a place where jobs for life still exist. When we started working with the publc sector, there did seem to be a very different culture in place, one where you covered your back and didn't rock the boat.
 
The language used was different too, and in places we just didn't percieve the same drive and energty that existed in the private sector. However, during the past five years we have witnessed a real change in approach throughout the parts of the public sector with which we have worked.
