Celebrations are in order after our appointment as the agency to manage public relations for Norman & Underwood in their 185th anniversary year.

Led by Gemma Pittham, Message Merchants presented a strategic communications plan that really impressed them that has ultimately led to an exciting new partnership.

Cousins Thomas Norman and John Underwood founded Norman & Underwood in 1825 as a plumbing and glazing business. Since then, the business has expanded, and now offers services such as replacement glass and glazing, aluminium and structural glazing systems, metal roofing and cladding, architectural leadwork and stained glass.

Norman & Underwood is the oldest architectural roofing company in the country and throughout the adoption of new technology and strategies, has maintained its valued traditions, and remains a family business. You will certainly have seen and appreciated their work, even if you do not recognize their name – yet.

Message Merchants will be organizing and delivering a campaign that embodies both the history and the future of Norman & Underwood. Utilising both traditional and ‘new’ media to celebrate their achievements past, present and future.

Rachel Hargrave MD of Message Merchants sums up the deal “To be working with a company that has such a fantastic heritage and brings that quality and craftsmanship into everything they do is an honour, their ethos and messages are clear and Message Merchants is thrilled to be helping them take this to new audiences, in new ways.”
